•6/29/11: Phase 1 renovation will be fully open as soon as the 15th of July. More than likely it will be open on July 18th. The newly renovated par 5's have come out beautifully! White Sand, new water, bent grass, mounding, fescue, all things you will see more of on these holes and Phase 2. Phase 2, which is the construction of 2 new holes, should start next month, with an opening date of next June. We hope to get photos of the construction as it takes place up on our website. Phase 2 will have no interruptions of play on the current 18 holes.
• 3/8/11 - Holes #9 and #12 were renovated in the Fall of 2010. This was Phase 1 of 7, in our Master Plan, for Grand National. Holes #9 and #12 were very challenging holes with forced carries over water. However, neither of the ponds held water properly and were in desperate need of repair. The end result was moving the water on #12 to the left of the green and eliminating the water on #9. You are also going to be seeing sculpted bent grass fairways, more mounding and elevation changes, and white sand bunkers! We hope to open the holes on July 1st, 2011. Until then, they are shortened holes, each playing at 235 yards. There is also a small pond and creek being installed in front of #18 green. That was once how #18 played and was long abandoned, but is coming back to it's original design. This should be completed very early in the season and will require little to no delays or rerouting. As far as any other major renovations....Phase 2 is the construction of the 2 new holes and is in the infancy stage for approvals.
